Hello everyone,
This month's newsletter will focus on
women's safety and women's self-defense. Women are generally the "guardian" for their homes and children. Like the mother bear, she will fight to protect what is hers. It is the skill she brings to the fight that can make the difference.
A philosophy at MPS is to mentally prepare ourselves for any encounter. With our mental radar operating, we can sense danger. Having the sense of an imminent threat, we are then better prepared to combat that threat with a physical response. In this issue we explore several techniques for women's self defense. Like any good self defense program, the techniques need to be ingrained into the body, what we call "muscle memory", for the technique to be effective long term.
This week we visit Force 3 Training and meet with Brannon Hicks and his staff. He is instructing a very intuitive program for women's self defense called ENYO. Force 3 Training was kind enough to allow us to bring our camera into their facility and share with you what they are teaching.
MPS encourages everyone to be mentally aware and participate in some form of self defense training but the key is to practice the techniques. As you will see in the brief video, the techniques are extremely effective, but need to become second nature.
I hope you enjoy the video, Thanks again to Force 3 Training. Together let's stay safe by being trained and aware!
Sincerely,
Teresa Meares |
