A message from Mind Power Safety

Teresa M
Hello everyone,
This month's newsletter will focus on child safety and teaching children self-defense concepts. Children are at risk because they can be an easy target and can be subjected to threats for not staying quiet about something that may have been done to them. The danger can come from known and unknown persons and may often be hard for the child to recognize.

As parents/guardians or a trusted adult, we have to give them the knowledge and tools to recognize danger, inappropriate behavior or an improper request. We need to make them feel confident in themselves and their abilities to tell and to speak up if there is something wrong.  This has to be a consistent message as they continue to grow up and it needs to adapt to their age and what dangers come during that specific time of adolescence.

I hope you enjoy the video, I had a really good time putting this one together. Together let's keep our children safe by being involved!

Thank you,
Teresa Meares
